9:35 am- Introductions & Project Updates of CCJDC Signatory Agencies/Attendees
· Asa Strong- ESRI Solutions Engineer, Technical demo specialist.
· Sandi McDaniel- ESRI representative for local government
· Rex Boyes- Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) and power engineers
· Hanna Muegge- Monterey Bay Air Resources District (MBARD). Planning on creating interactive wood stove online map. This would map the incentive program for all switched out wood stoves in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties. Focus on grant program.
· Gina Schmidt- AMBAG. Working on Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP) for Census which updates Census blocks and Census tracts for updates for the Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ). This process will start this fall 2018, for adoption into 2020 census. Also, Final EIR and MTP/SCS document going for board approval next month June board meeting.
· Casey Meusel – Semiannual push for groundwater. Annual land use survey. Land use model for water use in Pajaro Valley.
· Austin Robey- Santa Cruz County GIS. New strategic plan. Trying to meet goals, what the county is, and what it does using maps and documentation that goes into that. We’ve been doing work with the assessors program to stream line tasks to draft paper maps. Goal to change workflow to change paper maps. Finished building footprint update, up on the SCCO data portal. Worked on City of SC and Watsonville and rural programs. Emergency operations with red cross, to update their info. Putting together dashboards so emergency response. Redesign of enterprise. Upgrading to 10.6.1 trying to tie to local government. Google announcement of geocoding and charging for that, SCCO freaked out. Worked on cache based map, doing now on ESRI api instead.
· Bryan Kriete- Santa Cruz County Public Works. Asset management and mapping. Lots of projects coming up. Link road closures with WAZE app.
· Chris Blyze – Insight update. Data collection and data delivery, specifically drone data capture. Primary AG/vineyard. Works with the CISR program at UCSC. Drone at Marina Airport.
· Jess Barreras- Monterey County Water Resources Agency. Wrestling with Collector and Survey 123. Taking multiple 3 day classes with ESRI. Trying to capture data from over 100 wells, water level, sea water intrusion and water quality. Want to stop using paper, and want to go online and use mobile devices.
· Randy Casey- City of Salinas Public Works. Lead project manager for application development, database manager, and developer. Tree inventory maintenance to go into beta testing for public works. Built application for city staff/Davey tree work. From work order, to assigned , to tree service. Pesticide application for NPDES for stormwater and city pesticide use. Estimated area required for all areas of application and creating polygon of area applied. Tying it to pesticide list from the state. Crime data being published for City of Salinas, in a public friendly format. Converting a system from the 1980’s and data and brining it in to new application via geocoding in python.
· Rick Boggs- Cal State University Monterey Bay. GIS Analyst. Campus planning and development. Migrating data to ArcGIS online for user groups. Doing workflow and trainings. Doing RTK receivers to capture new building data on campus.
· Tony Cardoza- City of Salinas. Drone projects.
· Gavin Leavitt- City of Salinas Intern. GIS data links, online ArcGIS.
· Vincent Lantaca- City of Salinas. Work with databases, specifically . Working on crime databases.
· Joe Londono. Caltrans. Inventory bike lanes, and sidewalks projects. Doing asset management. Survey 123 Caltrans is interested in for various counties and districts.
· Lynn Overtree. Land trust of Santa Cruz county. Use collector a lot in field and interested in Survey 123.

9:57- GIS Day. Audio Visual technical assistance and hosting sponsored by CSUMB staff Rick Boggs. Easels booked. Room booked at CSUMB. New food vendor and catering coming onboard, will be a few months before new menus and cost of per person estimates/catering packages. Tentatively scheduled now for November 14, 2018 for GIS Day.

10:22 am- ESRI ArcGIS online demo. Sandi McDaniel –ESRI representative for local government and Asa Strong- ESRI Solutions Engineer (technical specialist for demonstrations of software).
· Survey 123: Demo of Survey 123 for ArcGIS presented by Asa Strong. Showed spreadsheet and import of sewer data input into Survey 123. Used GitHub account to run python script, but opened that up. Always can queue it up at night to run in task manager. Created sewer overflow, from automated assignment created from public survey. So next the mobile device gets notice of event published from automated assignment. Application called Vysor, to get mobile device demo onto computer. The software lets you navigate via Here ($50 charge), also can use Google Map or Waze. Open up Waze it will navigate to the event to “sewer” event. Operations Dashboard, can plug in all the services. Feature service from 123, collector app, and workforce. Brings all the field mobility together into one location.
· Workforce: Workforce downloaded once, but can run on multiple projects. Get application with ArcGIS license. 1st create new project, in Workforce for ArcGIS, make new project. Create new project. Used interface to bring in data. In ArcGIS online, survey creates a form which creates a feature service that gets information that into the form. Click button up top ( 9 dot icon), select which service. Results from survey go back to feature service. Survey created in excel, set up survey, then it creates feature service in workforce. Licensing, need ArcGIS online account level 2 license tier to create forms to use forms and share forms internally. Public can access on phones and submit information, in browser based openable don’t need level 1 or 2 license to use via phone or mobile device. All this can be do ArcGIS for Portal, very powerful. Level 1 user in enterprise can view information for operations dashboard for entire organization, staff can be kept private at level 1 usage to use/view or level 2 are within organization. If published to public, there is no licensing needed for use. Licensing 2 to create. Want form to be public, don’t want all information public or accessible, you would share publicly versus private. Can photos be added? For code enforcement, in the layers form you can enable attachments, such as photos. Scheduling events, OpenData++, in hub you can invite the community/stakeholders and invite into account for collaboration over web maps/apps. That is all a way to open data. If you go to https://Github.com/esri/workforce_scripts , it has all automation assignment, you can do it from a .csv file in create assignments from csv.
